As always, AEPC is at the helm of the IIGF and is now ready to unveil its plans for the 46th India International Garment Fair to be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from 2nd to 4th February, 2011.
The Apparel Export Promotion Council is the most important nodal agencies under the aegis of Ministry of Textiles, Government of India for promotion of apparel exports. The Council organizes international garment fairs in India in alliance with four major Garment Exporters' Associations since 1988. The fair, displaying Autumn/Winter Collections is held during the month of January and for that of Spring/Summer Collections, in July, every year. 42 IIGFs have been successfully held so far in the past 21 years
IIGF, which is a specialised business fair and forty third in the series shall show case the characteristic trends and fashions in the apparel industry from entire India and extensively recognised as the leading exhibition for the Indian Garment Export Industry in India.
The 43rd IIGF was held from 15 – 17 July’2009 at Hall Nos. 8,9,10, 11, 12 & 12A, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.. 306 participants participated in the said fair. The fair was held for Spring/Summer season.
The exhibition had a large overseas presence – a total number of 503 buyers from 66 countries visited the fair alongwith 403 buying agents from India. The major buyers were from Spain, United States followed by UK, France, Japan, Turkey, Italy, Canada, Portugal, Singapore, Brazil, Australia etc.
IIGF is a centre-stage where more than 300 exhibitors from various parts of India especially Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Kolkatta, Uttar Pradesh and Tirupur would be showcasing their latest Autumn/Winter Collection 2010-11.
IIGF is a b2b exhibition and is open only for Business Visitors like Buyers from abroad and Indian Buying Houses concerned with export-import of Readymade Garments. We are expecting to touch 3000 visitors this summer.
The ribbon cutting ceremony of 45th IIGF would be scheduled at 11.00 am on 20th January, 2010. Details would be available nearer to the dates of the fair.
